Perhaps the most common of the uncommon plants found in the Tatola Planes, the Sengeng plant is a well known herb. The leaves have a slightly waxy property to them and reflect a very small amount of light.
Being commonly found at the bases of trees, the Sengeng plant is easily identifiable from it's berries, which turn a light blue color when the plant has reached maturity. The berries have a slightly bitter-sweet flavor and grow in bunches of 15 to 35. Upon consumption of the berries, persons have reported a mild tingling sensation on the tongue and in the throat. Although this may be a frighting sensation, the berries are believed to be harmless. Note that it takes up to approximately 90 berries to begin experiencing this effect. Although side effects of consuming a large number of these berries is unknown, eating an excessively large amount is ill advised.
It is also worth noting that the plant can be easily identified by it's pale green and slightly tear-drop shaped leaves, which grow in groups of five. It is possible for a genetic mutation to occur in these plants or for the plants to be exposed to environmental factors that may result in the addition or subtraction of leaves in each grouping.

Uses
The Sengeng plant is most well known for it's root, which has medicinal properties. The root, and sometimes but not commonly the leaves, are dried up and ground into a powder to be mixed into drinks and other medicines. Sengeng roots are able to improve the immune system, fight off infections, and reduce stress. Sengeng is also know to act as a stimulant and an aphrodisiac.
Consuming too much Sengeng root may result in insomnia, but this effect is disputed. Other side effects can include nausea, diarrhea, headaches, nose bleeds, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, and chest pains.
Gross overdose of Sengeng root will may lead to nausea, vomiting, irritability, restlessness, urinary and bowel incontinence, fever, increased blood pressure, increased respiration, decreased sensitivity and reaction to light, decreased heart rate, seizures, convulsions, and delirium
